Our Thai Boat Noodles is an authentic Thai dish, which originated from
small boats on the canals of Central Thailand. Food peddlers would link
their boats up to a hungry patron’s boat and serve their delicacies.
Thai Boat Noodles became popular in 1942 following the severe flooding
in Bangkok. During those times, the Thai government promoted the
noodleas a national dish for Thai people. Over the decades many canals
were filled, making way for new roads and buildings yet Thai Boat
Noodle are still around today.
Reur Luang Noodle House serves Rice Noodles with an intense flavor,
traditionally with a fresh sprinkle of beef or pork blood. It also contains a
deep undertone of five‐spice, star anise, cinnamon and other herbs. Thai
Boat Noodle is typically mixed with a little bit of beef, liver, meatball,
and a few sprigs of morning glory; however, you can choose to have pork
instead. Reur Luang also offers you Thai Boat Noodle without soup
which is one of our signature dishes.
